The expo offered various products such as Natural skin care products, Hair products, Jewelry, clothes, shoes, wigs, purses, Traditional clothes(vitenge), potted plants, candles, Drinks, Natural supplements and electrical appliances. Social Media influencer Dina Marious, interviewed all the participants in order to further promote their business on her Instagram page.

The event began with a 10 km run which was brought to an exciting end by exhilarating music at the venue as well as introductions of the event organizers and sponsors, where each organizer and representative of the sponsors was given a chance to speak. The organizers expressed their appreciation for all the women participating and their expectations for the event. The representative of various sponsors expressed their excitement to see and get to learn about all the various participating businesses. After they were done the Event was officially opened.

The MC (Master of Ceremonies) for the ‘MWANAMKE WA SHOKA 2024’ MC Pilau interviewed and introduced each of the business stands. The Introductions included the name of the business, what the business was about, the owner of the business and introducing the products and prices. The purpose of these introductions was for the participants to get to know each other and for the guests to know exactly where each stall was located so it was easier to move to the business stall that piqued their interest.   

The participants were encouraged to visit other stalls for the purpose of exchange business ideas, experience and contact information to better know each other and expand their network. The participants were very friendly and nice to each other and the guests that came to visit their stalls. They were eager to showcase their products as well as learn about various other products. They were patient and willing to answer all questions regarding their products and services.

Representatives of LICO Global interviewed and met up with various participating business women to further understand the businesses. The representatives were able to learn more about how the women were able to start their various business, their reasons to start the businesses, the hardships they face in their business, their motivations and their expectations and future plans for their businesses.
